A new production facility is under operation in Rossdorf following EnviroChemie’s 40th anniversary.
The new Rossdorf production facility manufactures liquid agents for water and wastewater treatment. In conjunction with the expansion of production, the development department and quality assurance in Rossdorf have also been extended. In addition, a new technology centre was built on an area of 500 m², alongside existing laboratory units.
At the location of the EnviroFALK subsidiary in Westerburg, the EnviroChemie Group is investing in a new automated regeneration plant for ion exchanger resins with modern logistics and filling technology. The investment in plant technology on an area of approx. 2,000 m² and 3 storeys is gradually replacing an old plant operated at the Mainz service location.
The new plant doubles existing capacity and brings together the skills for equipment manufacturing and ion exchangers for water treatment at the Westerburg location.
Moreover, EnviroChemie has applied for approval planning for an engineering and administrative building at the Rossdorf location, with a floor space of approx. 1,500 m². This investment also helps to secure the future and increase the competence of the German locations.
The main location in Rossdorf focuses on industrial water and wastewater technology with plant engineering, water chemistry, and operation management with an international approach.
EnviroFALK at the Westerburg location primarily concentrates on clients in German-speaking countries with a high-vertical range of manufacture with compact systems for operational water and process water treatment. It supplies large amounts of service products such as ion exchanger resins and related services.
The EnviroDTS subsidiary at the Friedberg location near Frankfurt focuses on customised plant engineering and support services in the field of health care and research with clients who are mainly from the public sector.
The new production plant for water treatment agents has two modern mixing reactors, each with a reactor capacity of 6,000 litres. They are supplemented by corresponding raw material storage and a semi-automatic filling system for canisters, drums, and IBC.
The new structure replaces the old plant, which has been in operation at the Mainz site. At the same time, this has resulted in an increase in capacity and an improvement in the quality and safety of the workplace. EnviroChemie manufactures customised flocculants for industrial water treatment, coagulation agents for the area of water circulation systems in the coatings industry, water treatment chemicals for cooling tower maintenance, and special products for membrane technology.
The new technology centre and laboratory makes it possible to carry out tests in batch or continuous operation with water volumes between 5 litres and 200 litres per hour, or batch tests up to 500 litres per batch volume. More than 20 pilot plants and test plants can be used on a modular basis.
The existing plant spectrum ranges from physico-chemical filtration, flocculation, and flotation plants to micro-filtration, ultra-filtration, reverse osmosis, to aerobic and anaerobic biologies, chemical, UV or ozone oxidations, ion exchanger processes, and distillation.
Consequently, it is possible to represent virtually all commonly used processes in the field of water and wastewater technology on a laboratory or pilot scale.
