Intralox, the global provider of conveying solutions, proudly announces that its parent company, Laitram, is ranked number eight in the Q2 2011 release of The Patent Board’s heavy industrial equipment industry scorecard, a ranking of the US patent portfolios of the nation’s top 116 innovators in the sector. Intralox is Laitram’s largest operating division and contributes heavily to the company’s patent portfolio.
Laitram received this recognition based on the quality, technological strength, and impact of its patent-based innovation over a 12-month period, ending 13 May 2011. The top-ten companies ranked on the scorecard include multinational businesses like Deere & Company, Caterpillar, and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
Of the 50 highest-ranked companies in the heavy industrial equipment industry scorecard, Laitram received the top Industry Impact score, which indicates the extent to which others are building upon Laitram’s existing patents.
“Innovation, teamwork, customer value, and continuous improvement are core tenets of our business philosophy, and this recognition reflects that commitment. Laitram was founded 60 years ago on the power of an idea, and today we still believe in the importance and power of better ideas to solve problems and generate products and services with compelling customer value,” said Jay Lapeyre, CEO of Laitram.
Intralox has been the first company to introduce many of the most revolutionary conveying concepts in the market today and currently holds more than 340 patents worldwide.
