The UK exhibition debut of its new tray sealer model at the PPMA Show, together with the latest examples of its advanced weighing, packing, detection and quality control equipment, underline Ishida Europe’s capabilities in delivering complete packing line solutions for a wide variety of products and applications.
Alongside the new QX-775-Flex tray sealer, Ishida will show models from its CCW-R multihead weigher, DACS checkweigher, IX X-ray system and SPA Strip Pack Applicator ranges, along with its iTPS™ complete packing line solution for snacks.
New QX-775-Flex tray sealer
The QX-775-Flex combines a compact design with high speeds for MAP (modified atmosphere packaging) trays of up to 15 cycles per minute, along with maximum hygiene and high-quality pack and product presentation. The system is also compatible with a variety of applications including standard MAP, skinpack and shrink film, making it ideal for all types of ready meals, meat, poultry, fish and salads. The tray sealer offers a high return on floor space through its compact design and high output capability, and can also be easily integrated to form part of a complete packing line.
Advanced technology has characterised all Ishida machinery developments. The company’s IX X-ray models offer maximum detection sensitivity and reliability, with the most sophisticated models detecting impurities (such as metal, glass, bones, shells, stones, hard rubber and plastic) down to 0.3mm in size.
DACS-G checkweigher
Ishida’s latest checkweigher, the DACS-G, features a new Ishida-designed, exceptionally fast and accurate digital loadcell that is able to operate with great reliability in the harshest of environments, and can also switch between two weighing capacities and graduations to give each model the flexibility to handle a much larger product range.
All DACS checkweighers are available with the Ishida Data Capture System (IDCS), a user-friendly, secure software programme that can record the data of every pack weighed from up to 100 checkweighers into a single secure database. This enables companies to carry out extensive monitoring of production for both legislative compliance and to identify cost-saving opportunities.
iTPS snack packing system
Ishida’s market-leading iTPS snack packing system incorporates special software that supports the integrated operation of Ishida’s advanced Atlas high speed, high-efficiency snack food bagmaker with Ishida multihead weighers, throat metal detectors, printers, seal testers and checkweighers. The Atlas bagmaker features an innovative double rotary jaw motion and superior control technology to offer speeds of up to 250 bpm with accurate film registration and tight bag seals while minimising raw material waste, film loss and downtime for film changes.
R Series mulithead weighers
All Ishida R Series mulithead weighers include innovative features such as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), an enhanced Anti-Floor Vibration (AFV) system, a high-speed five-stage digital filter, and a new combination calculation algorithm using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Technology, all of which help to deliver high speeds, excellent accuracy and efficiency levels close to 100%.
Portable Strip Pack Applicator (P-SPA)
The newest addition to Ishida’s expanding portfolio of packing line solutions is its Portable Strip Pack Applicator (P-SPA), a compact, space saving and value for money model, which produces ready-to display hanging strips of pillow packs for retail display and is ideal for contract packing and retail operations as well as snack, confectionery and other food manufacturers.
