Their successful joint completion of a unique high-speed, fully integrated poultry processing plant for ZAO Prioskolie at Valujki in southern Russia, and a repeat order for that company’s Tambov site, have led Meyn Food Processing Technology and Ishida Europe to announce a strategic alliance. The partnership will build on early successes in Europe with a first stage focus on Europe, Middle East, Africa and Americas, before reaching a second and final stage addressing the rest of the world.
In terms of turnover, employee numbers and joint network, the alliance will become the largest supplier of its type in this industrial field, and will therefore change the landscape of poultry processing.
For poultry processors, the benefit of the new partnership will be technically advanced, quality- and profit-enhancing solutions, capable of delivering on almost any scale, but tailored with great flexibility to their needs.
Han van der Broek, president and CEO of Meyn, says: “Meyn’s recognised expertise and complete dedication to poultry processing has resulted in global leadership in poultry processing solutions. We are pleased to be working with Ishida, with whom we have found real synergy both in engineering and in the active co-operation of experts at the top of their game.”
Graham Clements, managing director of Ishida Europe, comments: “We have worked closely with Meyn on a project-by-project basis in the past and our experience confirms the overwhelming logic of developing this approach. It will strongly support this important industry as it moves towards eliminating waste and inefficiency, saving time and increasing hygiene. It will offer the convenience of a single-source supplier, able to take responsibility from first concept to final lines and plants in full production.”
